Soccer Game Provides Opportunities for Discipleship!

After a sluggish start, the G4 team pulled it together in the second half to come away with a 6-1 win Monday night against Penacook.  They picked up the intensity of their play after half-time, maintaining better possession and creating more scoring chances by playing the ball into the box from the outside wings.

"From my perspective, not only did they play well but they maintained great composure and positive attitudes in a tightly officiated game.  This game provided some great teaching and discipleship moments with the guys on how to handle adversity and how to respond correctly to authorities on and off the field.  We are praying that the lessons learned in this game carry over to the field for the next game as well as to their everyday lives." Coach Harding

Well done boys!

Soccer in the Rain

The G4 soccer team showed great poise on a wet Saturday morning, coming away with a 3 - 1 win over the team from Hillsboro.  The defense held together well, giving up just one goal late in the match.  The midfielders and forwards once again maintained possession of the ball for the majority of the match, creating multiple scoring opportunities for the Trinity side.

While playing keeper in the first half, Noah B. kept his streak of not giving up a goal this season and then his speed caused a lot of difficulty for the Hillsboro defense when he played on the field in the second half.

Keep up the good work guys!

Friendly Match Against SMCA

Yesterday's non-conference contest against South Merrimack provided a prime opportunity for the Lady Swordsmen to focus on player development.  The practice squad was able to get some valuable playing time and experience in a game setting.
"It was delightful to see these players, so new to the sport, finding their way around the court and contributing.  It was also a pleasure to watch the more experienced players encouraging and helping them." Coach Linda Oxford

Too Close for Comfort

Yesterday, the boys varsity soccer team was able to pull off the win against South Merrimack Christian Academy.  The game was a back and forth match that was tied at 3 with about 8 minutes left.  The guys rose the the challenge and with smart team play and hard work, they were able to seal the deal with two goals.

When asked about the game, Coach Shaw stated: "I'm proud of the guys for rising to the challenge.  We still have work to do and there are some key areas in which we need to improve, but I am grateful that the Lord blessed us with a win - the victory is His."

Celebrating the victory!

On Tuesday, the volleyball team competed against Tabernacle Christian School.  It was a tight match that went to 5 games, but the girls were able to focus on their skills and come together for the win!

Coaches Doug & Linda Oxford stated, "We are pleased with the team for pushing past their doubts when the game came down to the last two serves."

Nice job ladies - keep up the hard work!

G4 Soccer Team Continues To Improve

G4Soccer.JPG

Coach Harding giving the team a pep talk

The G4 soccer team continues to improve, notching a 3-1 win over the team from Hopkinton/Bow.  Solid defending and strong midfield play contributed to the team controlling ball possession.  Caleb W. came up big, controlling play from the stopper position and keeping the opposition scoreless in the first half with a heads up defensive play, covering the goal mouth and stopping a sure goal when the keeper had to come off his line.

Their great play and Christ-like spirit continues to give the G4 team a good testimony in this competitive county league.

A Great Day for Soccer

Ready to take the field!

The Swordsmen soccer team advanced to 3 - 0 with a win on Friday over Tri-City Christian Academy.

Great defensive effort by Ben B. and solid teamwork from our midfield aided in the victory.

New Uniforms and a Win!

After a slow start in yesterdays soccer match, the Swordsmen pulled it together to defeat Victory with a score of 8 - 0.  Seniors Dan A. and Zach M. demonstrated great leadership in the midfield.  Tough defense from outside defender Jason S. and goalkeepers Andrew F. and Jordan B. contributed to the shutout.

A special thanks to everyone who donated to the purchase of new soccer uniforms.  The guys are thrilled and they look great too!
